Download and run the following programs in order.

CW SHREDDER - REMOVES BROWSER HIJACKS.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Click this link: CW Shredder and save the file to your desktop.

Close all windows to view your desktop.

Double-click CWSHREDDER icon on your desktop.

Click FIX (in the lower right hand corner)

Click NEXT.

If found, CW Shredder will begin removing all instances of the Cool Web Search

Once it has finished scanning, click EXIT.

AD AWARE - REMOVES SPYWARE

Ad-Aware, along with Spybot Search and Destroy will remove infections of Spyware from your computer.

Click here: to download Ad-Aware. When prompted, select OPEN.

Follow the prompts as Ad-Aware begins to install. Click NEXT, by default.

Once Ad-Aware is installed, you should see its icon on your desktop.
Double-click the icon to execute Ad-Aware and begin removing spyware.

You will see the following image. Click the CHECK FOR UPDATES NOW link within the program. You will need an active Internet Connection.

CLICK CONNECT - TO DOWNLOAD THE LATEST UPDATES.

CLICK OK - TO INSTALL THE LATEST UPDATES.

Once the updates have been installed, CLICK FINISH.

CLICK NEXT - LEAVE DEFAULT SETTINGS.

CLICK START - TO BEGIN SCANNING FOR SPYWARE.

CLICK NEXT.

IF THERE ARE NO CHECKS IN THE CHECK BOXES NEXT TO THE RESULTS, RIGHT CLICK ON LIST IN SCANNING RESULTS AND LEFT CLICK "SELECT ALL OBJECTS". THEN CLICK NEXT. OTHERWISE, JUST CLICK NEXT.

CLOSE AD AWARE.

SPYBOT SEARCH & DESTROY

DOWNLOAD SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY AND CLICK OPEN WHEN PROMPTED.

After SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY installs, close all windows.

Double-click the Spybot Search and Destroy icon on your desktop to begin scanning your PC.

On the opening screen, click SEARCH FOR UPDATES. Download the latest updates by following the prompts.

Once the updates are installed, click SEARCH & DESTROY on the menu along the left side of the program window.

Then click .

SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY will begin scanning your PC for spyware. This may take a few minutes.

When the scan is complete, click at the top of the window.

When prompted to continue, click YES.

Click OK.

LAST STEP: IMMUNIZE YOUR COMPUTER FROM SPYWARE
After removing spyware with Spybot Search & Destroy, click the IMMUNIZE button (located in the menu down the left-hand side of the screen) to immunize your computer against future attacks.

Close Spybot Search & Destroy.
